Rentals from a
human, not a counter.
I'm Eugene — I've been hosting Teslas on Turo for 8 years, 88 trips, 5.0 stars. CarBabies is just me and two Model 3s in Stamford, treating every rental like a friend borrowing my weekend ride.
I live where you're renting. That matters.
I'm based in Stamford, CT — the same place my two Model 3s live. When you book, you're not getting an app, a counter, or a shuttle bus. You're getting me, picking up my phone, meeting you where you need to be.
I started with one Tesla eight years ago because I had a hunch that people in the metro NYC area would rather rent the future than another rental-counter sedan. 88 trips later, I know I was right. Guests come back — and bring friends.
The business is incorporated as CarBabies LLC in New York City, with the LLC office in Westport. But the cars live in Stamford, and so do I. That's the only address that matters when your flight lands at LGA at 10pm and you need keys in hand.
Why Tesla. Why now.
Because nobody who's actually driven one wants to go back. Because Superchargers are everywhere on the way to the Cape. Because the LIE in summer is more bearable when you're not paying $5/gallon. And because the car still drops jaws — every single time.
The little things make the trip.
Show up clean.
Vacuumed, glass clear, fresh interior. Always. I refuse to hand off a car that doesn't look like it does in the photos.
Charge it for you.
You'll never start a CarBabies rental below 80%. I'd rather absorb a few extra kWh than have you stressed about range on day one.
Answer the phone.
If the charger app is glitching at 9pm in Hyannis, I want to be the person who picks up. Customer service isn't a department here — it's just me.
