Privacy Policy.

CarBabies LLC ("CarBabies," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website carbabies.co and the sister domains teslariderentals.com, drivetesla3.com, and carbabiesny.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Bookings for our Tesla Model 3 vehicles are handled on Turo, a separate third-party platform. When you book through our Turo host profile, your data is also governed by Turo's Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Contact form submissions — if you fill out our contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number (optional), trip dates, and message you provide.
• Email correspondence — if you email us at hello@carbabies.co, we keep that correspondence.

Information collected automatically

• Google Analytics (GA4) — we use GA4 (property G-T5G9DSP48B) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data: pages viewed, time spent, approximate location (city-level), device type, referral source, and interaction events (like clicks on "Book on Turo"). GA4 uses cookies and local storage.
• Server logs — our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs IP addresses, timestamps, and HTTP request details for security and operational purposes.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect payment information on carbabies.co. All payments and booking data (driver's license, credit card, etc.) are handled directly by Turo on their platform. We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking.

2. How we use information

• To respond to contact form inquiries and emails
• To understand how visitors use the site and improve content
• To send occasional emails related to a specific inquiry (we do not send marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in)
• To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and security threats

3. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share limited information only with:

• Service providers — Google (Analytics), Netlify (hosting + contact form submissions), and Google Fonts (font loading). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and process data on our behalf.
• Turo — if you book a trip, Turo receives all booking-related information directly. We do not forward contact-form data to Turo.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our customers, our business, or the public.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use the following cookies and similar technologies:

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat_*): track anonymized usage. Expire after up to 2 years.
• Session storage (nav state): remembers whether the mobile menu is open. Cleared when you close the tab.

You can disable all cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not break site functionality. You can also opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Data retention

• Contact form submissions and emails — kept for up to 24 months after your last interaction, then deleted.
• Google Analytics data — retained per GA4's default retention of 14 months, then automatically deleted.
• Server logs — kept by Netlify per their standard retention policies.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of certain uses of your information
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@carbabies.co. We respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to opt out of "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.

European residents (GDPR): If you access our site from the EU/EEA/UK, you have additional rights including data portability. We do not actively market to or target EU/EEA/UK residents, but we honor these rights if you reach us.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for users 18 years and older (Turo's minimum age varies by vehicle, generally 18+ in most US states). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS everywhere, secure hosting on Netlify, access controls on our systems). No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Third-party links

Our site links to third-party sites — most notably Turo (where bookings happen), Instagram, and TikTok. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the homepage or by email if you've previously corresponded with us.
