The Hamptons.
In a Tesla. Obviously.
Pull up to Sant Ambroeus in a Pearl White Model 3. Roll into Sag Harbor on a single charge. Drive the LIE in summer without paying $80 in gas. There is no better car for the Hamptons.
The drive that makes the trip.
The Hamptons drive isn't a chore in a Tesla — it's a feature. Autopilot eases the LIE crawl, the cabin is stupid quiet, and you'll get to East Hampton with most of your charge intact. The stretch from Manorville to Bridgehampton in Sport mode? Still one of the best moments in EV ownership.
We rent specifically with Hamptons trips in mind — both our Model 3s have been to Montauk and back more times than we can count.
Suggested route from Stamford / NYC:
- Westport → Throgs Neck Bridge → LIE — the cleanest Friday play
- LGA → 495 East → Sunrise Hwy — for renters flying in
- Supercharger pit stop: Riverhead Tanger Outlets · 25 min stop, 80% to 100%
- Final leg: Eastport → Westhampton → Southampton → Bridgehampton → East Hampton → Montauk

You won't need to charge much once you're there — but here's where to plug in if you do.
Tanger Outlets · Riverhead
The classic stop. 12 stalls, restaurants nearby, easy on/off the LIE. Most Hamptons-bound renters stop here.
East Hampton (Babette's)
Tesla destination chargers in East Hampton village. Slow but free overnight at participating hotels.
Bridgehampton (various)
Tesla destination chargers at hotels and a few private addresses. Great for full overnight charges.
Three perfect Hamptons weekends.
The Beach Day
Pickup Friday morning. Lunch at Bostwicks. Beach until 4. Sant Ambroeus dinner. Wölffer Sunday brunch. Drive back Sunday night. Two days, perfect.
The Montauk Run
Stop in Bridgehampton for coffee at Estia's. Surf at Ditch Plains. Sunset at Gurney's. Sleep at the Ruschmeyer's. Repeat for as long as you want.
The Long Weekend
Drive Friday, beach Saturday, Sag Harbor dinner, Sunday at the Watermill, drive home Monday morning at 10am — Tesla-quiet, full battery, autopilot the whole way.
